Texxas Power · Commercial standby power

Commercial applications

Built for the Way Your Business Actually Runs

Every operation loses money differently in an outage. We size and design systems around what your business genuinely can't afford to lose, not a generic package.

Medical, Dental & Outpatient Clinics

Keep treatment rooms, refrigerated medications and patient records systems running, and stay compliant with the standards your licensing depends on.

  • Treatment and procedure room power
  • Vaccine and medication refrigeration
  • Records, imaging and IT continuity

Senior Living & Assisted Care

Residents can't be moved easily and climate control isn't optional. We design systems around life-safety loads and continuous habitability.

  • Life-safety and egress systems
  • Heating and cooling continuity
  • Medical equipment and call systems

Restaurants & Food Service

One outage can cost more in spoiled inventory than the generator. Keep coolers, freezers and service running through it.

  • Walk-in cooler and freezer protection
  • Point-of-sale and card processing
  • Health code and food safety compliance

Retail & Convenience Stores

Stay open when competitors close. Protect refrigerated stock, keep registers live and maintain security through the outage.

  • Registers and payment systems
  • Refrigerated and frozen inventory
  • Lighting, security and access control

Offices, Server Rooms & IT

Protect the data and the working day. Server rooms, network closets and comms equipment carry a load most standard systems overlook.

  • Server room and network closet power
  • HVAC for equipment cooling
  • Phones, access control and security

Multifamily, HOA & Property Management

Common-area power is a tenant retention issue and often a code issue. Shared systems spread the cost across the property.

  • Elevators and fire pumps
  • Common area lighting and corridors
  • Gates, access control and security

Municipal, Fire & Public Safety

Facilities that have to keep operating when everything else stops, sized and installed to the standards public buildings are held to.

  • Dispatch, radio and communications
  • Emergency lighting and life safety
  • Water, wastewater and pump stations

Warehouse, Manufacturing & Cold Storage

Protect stock, keep lines moving and avoid the restart costs that follow an unplanned shutdown.

  • Cold storage and temperature-controlled stock
  • Production and process equipment
  • Loading, lighting and security

Churches, Schools & Event Venues

Buildings that hold people. Many double as community shelters when the weather turns, which raises the bar on reliability.

  • Sanctuary, hall and classroom HVAC
  • Kitchens and refrigeration
  • Life safety, egress and security

Agricultural, Ranch & Equestrian

Livestock, irrigation and climate control don't pause for the grid. Rural properties also tend to sit at the end of the line for restoration.

  • Barn ventilation and climate control
  • Wells, pumps and irrigation
  • Feed systems and refrigeration

Why businesses choose Texxas Power

The Recommendation Comes After the Load Analysis

We Size to Real Load

We calculate your building's actual electrical demand, including HVAC, refrigeration, life safety and process equipment, rather than estimating from square footage. The load analysis comes before the recommendation, and it's free.

One Company, Start to Finish

Installation, maintenance, repair and electrical work under one roof, carried out by our own licensed electricians. No handoffs. The team that commissions your system is the team that services it.

Authorized Across Three Brands

A Generac PowerPro Premier dealer and an authorized dealer for Kohler and Champion, so the recommendation is driven by what fits your load and fuel supply, not by what we happen to stock.

Our process

From First Visit to Ongoing Service

01

Load Analysis

We walk the site, review your panel schedule and demand history, and establish exactly what has to stay running and what doesn't. Free, and no obligation.

02

System Design

Unit sizing, transfer switch configuration, fuel supply, siting and clearances, and the code requirements that apply to your building type and occupancy. You get a written proposal with the reasoning in it.

03

Permitted Installation

We manage permitting with the relevant city or county, coordinate gas and electrical connections with your utility, and schedule the work around your operating hours. Startup testing and commissioning before we call it finished.

04

Ongoing Service

Scheduled maintenance, remote monitoring and priority emergency response, because a system that's only exercised once a year isn't a system you can count on.

System sizing

What Size System Does Your Business Need?

Commercial demand varies enormously by building type, so a commercial generator installation always starts with a real load analysis rather than a recommendation. As a starting point:

22–48kW
Small commercial

Small offices, clinics and dental practices, single-tenant retail, restaurants covering refrigeration and POS, small churches.

48–100kW
Mid-size commercial

Multi-tenant buildings, larger restaurants and food service, senior living facilities, schools and event venues, small warehousing.

100–150kW+
Large commercial

Light industrial and manufacturing, larger multi-tenant and multifamily properties, cold storage, facilities with sustained process loads.

Need Something Larger?

Larger commercial and industrial systems, including paralleled units and N+1 redundancy configurations, are engineered and quoted individually rather than listed as standard products. Tell us your load and we'll scope the right system for it.

Service & maintenance

Maintenance, Monitoring & 24/7 Repair

A standby system earns its cost on one day, and only if it starts. Texxas Power keeps commercial standby generators ready, whoever installed them.

Scheduled

Maintenance Plans

Visits on a schedule matched to your run hours and how critical uptime is. Fluids, filters, battery, transfer switch and a written report each visit.

AnnualBi-annualQuarterly

Every visit ends with a simulated outage: we cut the power and make the system prove it transfers and carries your load.

Proof under load

Load Bank Testing

Where a system has to be proven at full rated output under sustained load, we bring in a load bank and test it there. It's the test that shows a system will carry its rated load for the duration, not just start. Available as a standalone test or alongside a maintenance visit.

Remote

Monitoring & Priority Response

We connect your system through Generac Mobile Link, over WiFi or cellular, and watch its status daily, so a fault surfaces before an outage does.

Monitored sites move to the front of the queue, with service within 48 hours of a fault being flagged, weather permitting.

Emergency

24/7 Repair, Any Brand

Diagnosis and repair on Generac, Kohler, Champion, Briggs & Stratton and Cummins commercial systems, whoever installed them. We're an authorized warranty service provider for Generac and Champion.

Same day or next day where the situation allows. Emergency and after-hours rates apply depending on the circumstances, and we tell you what they are before we roll.

Commercial generator repair

Signs Your System Needs a Technician

  1. Failing to start on demand during an outage
  2. Running rough, stalling or surging under load
  3. Throwing a fault or alarm code
  4. Failing the scheduled weekly self-test
  5. Tripping or shutting down when load is applied

Common questions

What Facility Buyers Ask Us First

Straight answers to the questions that come up before a proposal. Anything else, call us.

(817) 439-9009
What is Texxas Power?

Texxas Power and HomeSafe are both brands of Texxas Power Home Services LLC. Texxas Power for businesses, HomeSafe for homeowners. We're a DFW area electrical contractor holding Texas Electrical Contractor License #41809, and the same licensed team and installation standards stand behind both names.

Do you install commercial generators across DFW?

Yes. Commercial standby systems are what Texxas Power does, across Fort Worth, Dallas, Southlake and the surrounding North Texas area. Call (817) 439-9009 or request a free site assessment.

How much of my operation has to shut down during installation?

Most of the work happens outside your building and around your schedule. There's a short planned interruption when the transfer switch is tied in. We agree that window with you in advance, and for operations that genuinely can't stop, we plan it outside your hours.

How long does permitting take?

It depends on the city or county and your building's occupancy type. We handle the submission and the inspection scheduling, and we'll give you a realistic timeline for your jurisdiction at proposal stage rather than a generic one.

How is a commercial installation different from a residential one?

Systems are sized to operational load rather than household circuits, usually need higher-capacity units and more complex transfer arrangements, and permitting varies with building type and occupancy. The discipline is the same, assessment, design, permit, install and commission, scaled up.

Do you service commercial generators you didn't install?

Yes. We service Generac, Kohler, Champion, Briggs & Stratton and Cummins commercial systems regardless of who installed them, and we're an authorized warranty service provider for Generac and Champion.

How often should a commercial system be serviced?

At least annually. Higher run hours or critical uptime usually justify bi-annual or quarterly visits. We'll recommend a schedule based on your actual operation at the assessment.

Do you offer load bank testing?

Yes. We bring in a load bank to prove a system at full rated output under sustained load, either as a standalone test or alongside a scheduled maintenance visit.

Can you handle multi-tenant or mixed-use buildings?

Yes, including shared versus tenant-specific circuits, common-area loads, elevators and fire pumps, and the life-safety requirements that come with them.

Can you cover multiple sites?

Yes. If you operate several locations across DFW, we can standardise equipment and service schedules across them, which usually simplifies both maintenance and parts.
