Where the 38kW uses turbocharging to reach its output from a smaller displacement, the 48kW achieves higher output from a larger, naturally aspirated engine — a different engineering philosophy that prioritizes simplicity and consistency over packaging efficiency.
The 113 kVA peak motor starting capacity is exceptional. For DFW homeowners with multiple HVAC systems or very large tonnage installations, this is the spec that removes all doubt about startup reliability: 113 kVA at 240V handles motor startup loads that no air-cooled residential generator can approach. Combined with 200 amps of continuous output, the 48RCLC covers the entire load of the largest residential properties without circuit management.
