Earlier Generac models sold the transfer switch separately; this model doesn't.
The 18kW starts automatically within seconds of a utility outage and runs on your existing natural gas line or a connected propane supply. The Power Zone 200 Controller connects via cellular Mobile Link — not WiFi — so remote status monitoring, maintenance alerts, and outage notifications keep working even if your home's internet service is down during the outage that triggered the generator in the first place. Note on fuel output: Generac rates this model at 18kW on liquid propane and 17kW on natural gas. For most residential applications the difference is negligible, but if you're running on propane and sizing carefully, LP gives you the full rated output.
