Project Overview
Communication Concepts is an IT and data company in Haltom City, Texas. Its customers depend on its systems being available around the clock, and many of its employees work remotely and connect to the company’s network to do their jobs.
When the power went down, all of that stopped. Customers lost service, and remote employees couldn’t log in. Communication Concepts needed a backup power system that would keep its operation running 24/7, whatever was happening on the grid.
Our team specified and installed a 48 kW Generac liquid-cooled standby generator. The job called for a very extensive gas line run to reach the generator location and a custom-built locking enclosure to secure the unit. The crew of Nick, Ty Shaver, Mikey, Bryan, and Zach completed the full installation in five days.
Scope of Work
Generator Specification & Installation
- Selected a 48 kW Generac liquid-cooled standby generator for the facility’s continuous-uptime needs
- Set and installed the generator to provide backup power to the business
Extensive Gas Line Run
- Planned and installed a long gas run to supply the generator
- Routed the line to reach the generator’s location on the property
Custom Locking Enclosure
- Designed and built a custom locking enclosure around the generator
- Secured the unit against tampering and unauthorized access
Built for 24/7 Operations
For an IT and data company, a power outage costs more than lost time at the office. Customers lose service they depend on. Remote employees across the network lose their connection to the systems they need. Every minute without power puts the company’s reputation with its customers at risk.
A liquid-cooled generator was the right fit for this application. Liquid-cooled units are built for larger loads and longer run times than typical air-cooled home standby models. That makes them well suited to a business that can’t afford to go offline.
The installation wasn’t simple. Supplying the generator took a very extensive gas run, and the client wanted the unit secured with a custom locking enclosure rather than left exposed. The crew handled both and completed the full project in five days.
What Made This Project Exceptional
Uptime for Customers and a Remote Workforce
This project protected two groups at once: the customers who rely on Communication Concepts’ services, and the remote employees who rely on its network to work. With backup power in place, both stay online through an outage.
A Commercial-Grade Liquid-Cooled Generator
The 48 kW Generac liquid-cooled unit gives the facility the capacity and durability that continuous operation requires.
An Extensive Gas Run
The location required a long gas line run. The crew planned and installed it as part of the five-day project.
A Custom-Built Locking Enclosure
The team built a custom locking enclosure on site to keep the generator protected and the site secure, rather than using an off-the-shelf solution.
A Five-Person Crew, Five Days
Nick, Ty Shaver, Mikey, Bryan, and Zach completed the generator installation, the gas run, and the enclosure build in five days.

The Texxas Power Difference
The Communication Concepts project shows our ability to deliver commercial backup power for businesses that can’t afford downtime. In five days, the crew installed a 48 kW liquid-cooled generator, ran an extensive gas line, and built a custom locking enclosure. The result is an IT and data company that stays online for its customers and employees around the clock.
48 kW installed. 5 days on site. 24/7 uptime for customers and employees.
